Veterinary World Association for canine kinematically controlled Locomotion, Neurology, orthopaedics and Rehabilitation
The “World Veterinarians Organization for the Dog’s Kinematics” has the goal to establish training and education in the field of kinematics for dogs in the veterinary practice and to offer additional diagnostic strategies in the daily practice for veterinarians and dog owners.
It is a well-known fact that the dog owners present their dogs in the practice with the issue "My dog walks weird" or “My dog has a strange gait pattern”. The X-ray or CT images often provide no evidence for these abnormalities, since they are caused by functional and not structural changes in the skeleton. In these cases, the kinematics can show the problem and give the explanation.
Evidence-based therapy can be started and monitored at any time of the dog’s life. Thus, veterinarian and dog owners have the possibility to track the therapy’s progress and have the proof that the initiated therapy is effective and helps the healing of the dog.
We are organising the first world congress in Basel in Autumn 2020.
From 14-15 November 2019 we will had our exhibition at Europe’s largest veterinary exhibition, the London Vet Show 2019. Over 450 exhibitors and 5’600 vet professionals attended the event. Now you have the possibility to register for the forthcoming congress in Basel in October 2020, where you will be able to learn more about kinematics for dogs.
